These budget-friendly dummy security cameras are a great way to deter potential burglars. The flashing red LED light is a smart feature—it’s clearly visible both day and night and adds to the realism.

I installed one above the back door and another near the front. Mounting was simple—just measured the 3 1/8" gap between screw holes, drilled two 5/64" pilot holes, and left the screws about 1/4" out. That way, I can easily remove the unit to replace the two AA batteries when needed.

The build is solid for the price, and I’m hopeful the pre-installed alkaline batteries will last a good while. Overall, a great value for added peace of mind.
